KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistani embassy in Kabul on Tuesday announced providing additional facilities to Afghan visa applicants besides activating the online visa system.
The embassy in a statement said that the Pakistani government had started implementing a new visa policy to facilitate the movement of Afghan nationals to the country. .
The policy was announced by the Pakistani government on September 19 this year.
The Pakistani embassy said that it had taken important steps to facilitate the visa process keeping in view the large number of applicants.
The number of windows for collecting visa application forms has been increased from seven to 17 in order boost the visa processing capacity.
The facilities also included issuance of long-term or multiple entry visas (one to five-year visas) to all categories of visitors to Pakistan, the statement said.
Taking further friendly steps, the Pakistani embassy in Kabul and consulates in Jalalabad, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif introduced online visas for Afghan citizens at the behest of the government.

The Pakistani embassy also said that separate windows have been set up for patients, women, students and businessmen.
According to the statement, the students will be issued visas for the entire duration of their education in Pakistan.
The Pakistani embassy also reminded visa applicants to come to the embassy during morning working hours when there was enough capacity to process visas.
The embassy insisted that there were no visa agents for the embassy.
The Pakistani embassy thanked the Afghan authorities for helping to organize the large number of visa applicants on a daily basis.
