170 new positive Covid-19 cases registered in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan registers 170 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours taking the national tally of coronavirus patients to 51,674 in the country, a statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Friday.

A total 2,275 suspected cases had been examined in the country laboratories in the past 24 hours in which 170 were positive, the statement said.

According to the ministry the fresh coronavirus cases had been registered in Kabul, Herat, Kunduz, Balkh, Takhar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Baghlan, Parwan, Nimroz, Ghazni, Badakhshan, Maidan Wardak, Laghman, Helmand, Kunar, Khost and Zabul provinces.

Ninety-two people have recovered from the pandemic in the past 24 hours taking the total number of recovered people to 40,678.
