KABUL (Pajhwok): The coffined body of former Afghanistan Ambassador to Qatar Abdul Hakim Dalili returned to capital Kabul from Doha on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement.
Hailing from southern Ghazni province, Dalili died of cardiac arrest last Tuesday in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
State level protocol offered to the coffin of Dalili on its arrival at the Hamid Karzai International Airport and the coffin was then dispatched to Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital.
President Ashraf Ghani paid respect and tribute to Dalili’s coffin in the Sardar Dawod Khan Hospital.
“I offer condolences to all and pray for the departed soul, I share this grieve with the entire nation and the people of Ghazni. Today we have lost a powerful, committed and patriotic personality, he was our prided and may his soul rest in Jannat,” he said.
