51 new covid-19 cases registered in past 24hr

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan registered 51 positive coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours taking the total tally of coronavirus patients to 53377 nation-wide, a statement from Presidential Palace said on Friday.

According to the statement a total 1289 cases brought to different laboratories during the period for testing in which 51 were positive.

Of the fresh cases 15 people tested positive in Herat, 10 in Kabul, seven in Nangarhar, six in Kunduz, five in Sar-i-Pul, three in Khost  and one each in Kandahar, Balkh, Laghman, Kundar and Paktika province.

According to the statement, seven people died from coronavirus taking the total tally of deaths to 2,267.
