Child, NDS personnel killed in Paktia, Nangarhar attacks

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): One child and personnel of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) were killed in separate incident in southeastern Paktia and eastern Nangarhar provinces on Monday, official said.

A child was killed and four others injured in a roadside blast in the Bagh Dari locality of Zazi Aryub district, Acting Police Chief Col. Lutfullah Kamran said.

The Taliban have not spoken about the incident.

Separately, an NDS personnel was shot dead in the Arabano locality of Jalalabad City, the Governor Office confirmed.

A well-placed source in the NDS confirmed to Pajhwok their employee was shot dead in Jalalabad.
