MoF HR head arrested for misuse of authority

KABUL (Pajhwok): The human resource director of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has been arrested over misuse of authority, the Attorney General Office (AGO) said on Sunday.

Jamshid Rassouli, the AGO spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Ghulam Mullakhel was arrested jointly by Kabul police and AGO.

Rassouli said Mullakhel was currently in detention and details about his case would be shared with the media later on.

Without elaborating, Kabul police spokesman Firdos Faramarz confirmed the arrest of the Finance Ministry official.

Pajhwok asked MoF for details of Mullakhel’s arrest, but it did not respond immediately.
