KABUL (Pajhwok): One individual was killed and two others, including a central bank officer, were wounded as a result of an explosion in Kabul on Sunday morning, an official said.
In a statement, DAB’s media office said the vehicle of Abdullah Durrani, the central bank’s chief for dispute resolution, was hit by the bomb.
As a result of the explosion, it added, two individuals, including Durrani, were wounded and one of his guards killed.
Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place in the Shah Shaheed area of the 8th police district at 8:10am.
Without elaborating, the police spokesman said three civilians were injured in the blast in the capital.
A security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok the bomb blast targeted the vehicle of Da Afghanistan Bank’s chief for dispute resolution.
He said the DAB official was injured along with his driver and security guard.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. Magnetic bomb explosions and target killings have increased recently.
