KABUL (Pajhwok): A roadside blast hit a vehicle belonging to the Italian Embassy in second Parwan area of Kabul city on Monday morning, officials confirmed.
A Land Cruiser type vehicle of the Italian embassy came under attack at around 7:35am on Monday morning and the blast was heard in far off areas of Kabul city.
Firdous Faramarz, Kabul police spokesman, said the blast caused no casualties but it resulted in financial losses. He did not provide further details.
But a security source, who wished anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast hit a transport vehicle of the Afghan staff of the Italian embassy in second Parwan area falling in the fourth Kabul Police district.
However, Kabul police claimed the blast caused no human casualties but it resulted in financial losses.
But the security source said one individual was wounded in the blast and a staff transport vehicle of the Ministry of Economics (MoEC) was damaged while passing the area.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
The blast comes a day after an IED explosion ripped through a Land Cruiser type vehicle in third street of Shah Shaheed area of eighth Kabul police district, leaving one person dead and two others injured including director of financial disputes resolution commission of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB).
According to reports, it was the fourth blast taking place in Kabul during the current solar month.
