KABUL (Pajhwok): The Indian Customs Department arrested two Afghan citizens and seized drugs worth $1.5 million from them at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport.
Indian media outlet ANA reported the two Afghan citizens, flying from Dubai, were arrested after they landed at the IGI airport.
The Afghans were held with 208 capsules and 163 kilograms of heroin. The drugs are worth 114 million INR --equivalent to $1.5 million.
Narcotics branch officials at the IGI airport have registered cases against the smugglers, who have been referred to judicial organs.
