KABUL (Pajhwok): A vehicle carrying a senior officer of the State Ministry of Peace was hit by a bomb explosion in Kabul on Monday morning.
Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz said the blast in the Shaheed Square of the 10th police district struck the Land Cruiser the ministry’s chief of staff was travelling in at around 7:30am.
Faramarz said the explosion caused no casualties. A credible source told Pajhwok Afghan News the vehicle of Khushnood Nabizada was targeted.
The source added information about casualties was not immediately available.
Also on Monday morning, an employee of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) was killed in the Aab Rasani area of the 5th police district.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for neither incident.
