KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday announced recording 53 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours across the country.
The ministry in a statement said 1,888 people underwent tests since Saturday and 53 people were diagnosed with the virus, pushing the overall tally to 55,174.
The ministry said 19 cases were detected in Herat, nine in Kabul, five in Faryab, four each in Nimroz and Ghazni, three in Nuristan, two each in Nangarhar, Helmand, and Paktika, one each in Kandahar, Balkh and Maidan Wardak provinces.
