KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Saturday said five new positive Covid-19 cases were registered in the last 24 hours in the country.
The ministry in a statement said 1,151 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was detected in five people, pushing the overall tally to 55,335.
It said three cases were detected in Kandahar and one each in Kabul and Ghazni provinces.
At least nine individuals recovered, taking the recoveries to 48,027 and two people lost their lives to the virus during the period, with the total death toll reaching 2,410.
