KABUL (Pajhwok): Once again a series of blasts caused by sticky bombs rocked Kabul city on Sunday, leaving two civilians and two policemen wounded, officials said
Kabul police spokesman Firdous Faramarz told Pajhwok Afghan News the first blast happened in the 4th Macrorayan area in the limits of the 9th police district at around 8:45am on Sunday morning when a sticky bomb affixed to a Hilux-type vehicle went off, wounding two civilians.
Faramarz added the second explosion happened at around 1pm in Bagh-e-Dawood area in the jurisdiction of fifth police district. The bomb was attached to a police vehicle that exploded, wounding two police personnel.
He said the third such blast took place at around 9:35am in ArzanQimatrea of 12th police district but caused no casualties.
Kabul witnessed two explosions on Saturday, which resulted in the killing of two individuals and injuring of five others.
Magnetic bomb blasts have dramatically increased in Kabul, claiming lives of residents almost every day since the past three months.
Security officials have repeatedly assured of preventing such incidents but they have not so far been able to do so.
Kabul residents are complaining of the increasing blasts and claim that Kabul security officials have failed in ensuring security.
