AIBAK (Pajhwok): Police in northern Samangan province on Tuesday announced arresting 16 individuals accused of usurping government’s land in Takht-i-Rustam area of Aibak city, the provincial capital.
Crime branch police chief Mohammad Asif Azadi told a press conference here that the detainees were currently being investigated at the crime branch.
He said police and intelligence detectives had been instructed to prevent construction of houses in the Takht-i-Rustam area and demolish buildings constructed on government land.
He said police had recognized another five key land grabbers in Samangan and they would be arrested soon.
