KABUL (Pajhwok): Wolesi Jirga Secretary Abdul Qadir Zazai Watandost on Thursday said that lawmakers rejected the budget on the bases of some reasons.
Addressing reporters he said, lawmakers not opposed the budget for the personal interest but there were some genuine reasons.
“Wolesi Jirga members don’t want to hostage the budget or seek personal relief in the budget,” he said.
This comes at a time when Wolesi Jirga has twice rejected budget for 2021 and demanded balance among provinces and salaries of government employees.
But government stressed that the Wolesi Jirga should approve the budget to release the salaries . . .
