KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 18 new positive COVID-19 cases and one death from the infection have been recorded in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Tuesday.
The ministry said 1,746 people underwent tests during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in 18 people, pushing the overall tally to 55,664.
Of the fresh cases, seven were recorded in Kandahar, four in Herat, three in Uruzgan and one each in Kabul, Nangarhar, Helmand and Panjshir provinces.
