AS’ADABAD (Pajhwok): A solar power project has been put into service in Asadabad, the capital of eastern Kunar province, an official said on Monday.
The Kunar governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News the project was inaugurated in Karyab Mina area of the city.
Abdul Ghani Musamam said the scheme was executed under the National Citizen Charter programme at a cost of 9.18 million afghanis.
He added the project had the capacity to produce more than 40kw of solar electricity.
