2nd round of Buzkashi league starts in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): The second round of the Buzkashi League kicked off in Kabul on Friday.

The competition is sponsored by the National Buzkashi and Local Sports Federation of Afghanistan and the Afghan National Radio and Television.

According to the National Television's Facebook page, the games will take place in the Yaka Tut area of ​​Kabul's Pul-e-Charkhi and will last for three days.

Buzkashi teams from nine provinces are taking part in the competition, which was divided into four groups.

Each of these groups will compete against each other and then the winning team from each group will advance to the semi-finals, after which they will advance to the finals.

Buzkashi teams from Kandahar, Panjshir, Parwan, Badakhshan, Bamyan, Samangan, Kunduz, Nangarhar, Takhar, Nuristan, Kabul, Logar, Baghlan, Sar-i-Pul, Balkh and Herat are participating in the tournament.

The first match of the league will be played between Kandahar and Panjshir today.

The games are broadcast live on national television.

Viewers of the games can buy tickets to enter the Buzkashi stadium from all of the Afghan Post Company's post offices in Kabul and from the venue in the Yakatoot area.
