1 civilian killed, 3 wounded in Herat blast

HERAT (Pajhwok): One civilian was killed and three others wounded in a landmine blast in western Herat province on Tuesday, police said.

Police spokesman JilaniFarhad told Pajhwok Afghan News that Taliban militants had planted the bomb to target military vehicles.

But the blast Dojoi village of Pashtun Zarghun district killed one civilian and wounded three others.

The blast comes a day after one person was killed and a teenage girl was injured in a Taliban mortar attack in Zawul district.

The Taliban have said nothing in this regard.
