KABUL (Pajhwok): French diplomat Jean Arnault has been appointed as the United Nations secretary-general’s personal envoy on Afghanistan and regional issues.
Antonio Guterres appointed Arnault as his envoy in the eve of an international conference in Moscow on the Afghan peace process.
Afghan politicians, diplomats from the US, China, Pakistan and Qatar, as well as Taliban representatives are in Moscow to attend the event.
