KABUL (Pajhwok): At least four new positive COVID-19 cases and one death have been recorded in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Saturday.
The ministry said 1,078 people underwent tests during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in four people, pushing the overall tally to 56,294.
Of the fresh cases, two were recorded in Kabul and one each in Kapisa and Helmand provinces.
No individual recovered from the pandemic during the period, and the total number of recoveries remained at 49,994.
