HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Islam Qala crime branch police chief and a police officer have been wounded as a result of an IED explosion in western Herat province, a source said on Tuesday.
A reliable local source, wishing anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News an IED attached to the vehicle of IslamQala chief of crime branch exploded inside the Commissariat.
The source said the crime branch chief and a police officer were wounded in the blast, adding both the wounded were in stable condition.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
