KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan recorded 75 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours while five people died from the infection, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Thursday.
According to the ministry, 2559 samples were brought to different laboratories in the past 24 hours and 75 of them tested positive, taking the overall tally in Afghanistan to 57,019 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Of the new cases, 19 were registered in Nangarhar, 18 each in Kabul and Kandahar, seven in Laghman, five in Kunar, three each in Herat and Zabul, one each in Kunduz, Helmand and Maidan . . .
