KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Turkmenistan have signed security plan for the Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan India (TAPI) gas pipeline, a statement from the National Security Council (NSC) said on Friday.
The plan was signed by Assistant NSC Head Ebadullah Ebad and Meterat Amanove, a senior Turkmen in charge of TAPI project.
According to the statement the plan will ensure security and stability of the pipeline that supply energy to the South Asia countries.
TAPI is an important energy project it can help promote the politics of cohesion, regional security and could bring closer arch rivals India and Pakistan.
