Sar-i-Pul man kills, injures four of a family

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): A man in northern Sar-i-Pul province has killed two members of a family and wounded as many others, police said on Sunday.

NoorAgha Faizi, spokesman for Sar-i-Pul police said Mohammad Aslam, a resident of the Alatu village of Sayyad district, entered Abdul Samad’s house and shot dead two women and wounded a boy and another woman..

Without elaborating, he said initial reports indicated the incident occurred as a result of enmity between families. The killer has fled the area.

In the past one month, local authorities say, at least three women have been killed in the province for different reasons.
