KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Public Health Minister Waheed Majroh on Wednesday called on religious scholars to insist on vaccination against coronavirus, terming the third virus wave as dangerous than the second and first wave.
Majrooh told religious scholars at a meeting that if people did not take health care (frequent hand washing, mask use and distance) seriously, Afghanistan could face a coronavirus crisis like India.
He said it was not possible to contain the virus spread if only health workers and religious scholars used precautions.
Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Mohammad Qasim Halimi, also said that it was important for everyone to be vaccinated and urged people to wear masks during prayers.
