KABUL (Pajhwok): Asian Development Bank has assured the National Water Management Authority (NWMA) of complete support in the implementation of underground water resources enrichment, Kabul-Panjshir pipeline and other water projects in the country, according to a statement on Friday.
NWMA Head Khan Mohammad Takal during a video link meeting with officials of the ADB discussed the implementation of water related development projects in Afghanistan from 2021 to 2024, the statement said.
It added relevant officials from Agriculture Ministry, Rural Rehabilitation Ministry and Transport ministry were present during the meeting and exchanged views regarding ADB plans in Afghanistan from 2021 to 2024.
During the meeting, ADB and Finance ministry officials stated that every institution that worked transparently and completed the project on time will get more funds and probably the funds of other institutions would be diverted to them for work.
It is worth mentioning that ADB so far provided $700 in the implementation of water related projects and assured more cooperation in the future.
