KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) chief on Monday discussed permanent visas for Afghan players with UAE Sports Authority, an official said.
ACB spokesman FaridHotak told Pajhwok Afghan News that FarhanYousafzai, director general of the board, had discussed a number of important issues with Secretary General of the UAE Sports Authority, Syed Abdul Ghafar Hussain.
He said Yousafzai sought long-term visas for Afghan cricket team in the United Arab Emirates and a long-term contract for a domestic cricket ground and other issues during the meeting.
According to Hotak, the head of the UAE Sports Authority, Syed Abdul GhafarHussain, assured him of his full support in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that the players and some officials of the Afghan national cricket team often face visa problems while traveling to the United Arab Emirates.
