PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Natural Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in northern Baghlan province distributed 1,344 metric tonnes of wheat among 22,500 less fortunate individuals, an official said on Thursday.

NDMA Head Mujeeb Rahman Baheen during an exclusive interview told Pajhwok Afghan News wheat distributed among 22,500 people, including 1,500 contact employees.

He said: “In order to ensure transparency special cards distributed among less fortunate individuals,” he said.

Assistant Governor Zabihullah Ihsas also assured transparency in wheat distribution and said the process was transparent in which less fortunate people provided with what packages.

Gul Agha, one of the wheat receivers, said government provided him with a bag of wheat in Ramazan.

Niamatullah, one of the shopkeepers, said with the distribution of aid among less fortunate people the price of floor also came under control in the market.

Every year wheat priced increased during Ramazan but his time there was no difference of one afghani.
