Noor warns against 2nd resistance movement

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Jamiat-e-Islami Political Party Head Atta Mohammad Noor on Thursday said he would form second resistance movement if the Taliban refused to reconcile.

Addressing Eid-ul-Fitr gathering in Mazar-I-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province, Noor stressed over meaningful national consensuses on peace and said it was a logical way to achieve peace.

Supporting Afghan security forces, Noor asked the Taliban to choose peace instead of fighting and added the Taliban could not achieve their goals without peace.

He assured people of protection and safety in case Taliban refusal to peace and warned against second resistance movement.

He termed the creation of islands of power against the sprite of main government system and said the Islamic republic is the outcome of people’s sacrifices and tireless efforts and everyone was ready to defend it.
