KABUL (Pajhwok): American forces have completed their pullout from the second largest military base in Afghanistan, says a media report.
US troops pulled out of the Kandahar Airfield, the coalition’s major operating base in southern Kandahar province, Afghan and US officials were quoted as saying.
Khwaja Yahya Alwi, spokesman for the Afghan National Army in Kandahar, told AFP: “They have not officially handed over the base to us but I can confirm they left the base on Wednesday.”
