HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a bodyguard of former jihadi leader Ismail Khan in front of his home in Herat city, the capital of western Herat province, sources said on Wednesday.
Herat Police spokesman, AbdulAhadWalizada told Pajhwok Afghan News two unidentified gunmen opened fire at the bodyguard of IsmailKhan in Blood Bank square near his house on Wednesday afternoon.
He added security officials in the area engaged and killed one of the attackers, whose body was in the area, adding the other assailant was wounded.
Walizada said police recovered one Kalashnikov and a magazine from the gunman . . .
