PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): At least 5,000 families have been internally displaced in northern Baghlan province due to recent clashes in three districts.
SharifullahShafaq, director of Baghlan's refugee and repatriation department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 5,000 families from Baghlan-i-Markazi, Nahrin and DahnaGhori districts fled homes due to the recent fighting.
He said 1,000 families in Baghlan-i-Markazi and 2,000 in Dahna-i-Ghori districts had demanded assistance.
“We have not yet launched assistance and will provide it after a survey is completed,” he added.
