FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Seven people, including two children, were killed and an eighth injured in two separate roadside bombings in western Ghor province, an official said on Thursday.
Governor’s spokesman ZalmaiKarimi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the first blast occurred in the village of Siasang, in which two men were killed and a third was wounded late on Wednesday.
He said separately four people, all from the same family, were killed in another roadside bombing in Kharistan village. The dead included a man, a woman and two children.
He blamed the blasts on the Taliban, saying the rebels had planted landmines on all routes in villages.
However, Qari Yusuf Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman, denied the group’s involvement in the blasts.
Meanwhile, the Taliban lowered three passengers from a car on the Ghor-Herat highway in Band-i-Bain area and then shot them dead on Wednesday.
