KABUL (): Over a hundred armed Taliban were killed and 90 others injured during clashes in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement on Friday.
The Taliban suffered casualties in Maidan Wardak, Laghman, Kandahar, Herat, Faryab, Balkh, Kunduz, Helmand, Nimroz, Baghlan and Kabul province, the statement said.
Three Taliban were also arrested during clashes, the ministry said.
The Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid termed the claim baseless and added no Taliban fighters suffered casualties during the period.
