KABUL (Pajhwok): At least three people, including two security personnel, were killed in two separate incidents in Kabul on Thursday.
A security source, wishing not to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News two National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel were killed in the Company area of the 5th police district.
Safiullah, a resident of the neighbourhood, said he heard gunshots in the area and later learnt that two people had been killed in the attack.
Meanwhile, a child named Mohammad Mehdi was shot dead in the 18th police district. Firdos Faramarz, the Kabul police spokesman, said the boy was gunned down by a hotel guard.
He said the hotel owner had been arrested and the incident was under investigation.
Faramarz added, four suspects had been arrested by the Special Forces for aiding the Taliban. The arrests came in a series of targeted operations in Qarabagh district.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the detainees, the police spokesman added.
After a pause of several days, targeted killings have resumed in Kabul, where a local police commander was killed in Bagrami area two days ago.
