KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday said 1,566 new positive Covid-19 cases and 30 deaths from the infection were recorded during the last 24 hours in the country --- the highest single day death toll.
The ministry in a statement said 5,032 people underwent tests since Sunday and the virus was detected in 1566 people, pushing the overall tally to 73,256.
It said 482 cases were detected in Kabul, 151 in Kandahar, 144 in Balkh, 103 in Nimroz, 100 in Parwan, 73 in Laghman, 66 in Kunduz, 53 in Kapisa, 47 in Nangarhar . . .
