KABUL (Pajhwok): The international community has accelerated efforts at finding a political solution to the Afghan conflict by frequently meeting government and Taliban negotiators in Qatar following a surge in violence in Afghanistan.
A statement from the Afghan government’s negotiating team received by Pajhwok said that the European Union’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Tomas Niklasson met with the government’s chief negotiator, Massom Stanikzai and a number of other members of the team on Monday in Qatar.
The statement said that the two sides discussed acceleration of peace talks and prioritizing important issues to be discussed in negotiations . . .
