KABUL (Pajhwok): Religious scholars from Afghanistan and Pakistan will hold a video conference meeting on Thursday, an official said on Tuesday.
Fazal Mohammad Hussaini, spokesperson for the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, said Saudi Arabia will be hosting the meeting between the religious scholars of the two nations.
Religious Affairs Ministers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, ambassadors of the two nations, religious scholars and some members of the Organisation of Islamic Countries will also take part in the meeting.
Peace, importance of peace in the region, ulema’s role in peace process and support for peace process will be discussed during the meeting, he said.
It is worth mentioning that in the past a meeting between religious scholars of Afghanistan and Pakistan had taken place.
