5 of a family killed in Laghman mortar shell attack

MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Five of family were killed and one critically injured in a mortar shell attack in the Alingar district of eastern Laghman province, security official said on Sunday.

Syed Maqsoud Sahib, spokesperson for Selab Military Corps, said the Taliban fired mortar shell on public homes on Saturday night in the Kotali locality.

He said one mortar shell landed at civilians home which resulted in the killing of five family members and injured one critically.

Provincial Council Head Atiqullah Abdul Rahimzai said the Taliban fired mortar shell that killed five people of one family.
