JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One child was killed and nine others, including two adults, wounded when a mortar strike hit a house in Norgram district of eastern Nuristan province.
Officials said Taliban and security forces clashed in the area and it was not clear who fired the mortar.
Head of Nuristan provincial council, SadullahPayindazoy told Pajhwok Afghan News that the mortar struck a house late Saturday and wounded eight people. He did not have further information of the incident.
