JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Hundreds Pashae youth in eastern Laghman and Nangarhar provinces have taken arms against the Taliban and in the support of security forces.
These youth gathered in the Qarghaio district of Laghman province under the leadership of Wolesi Jirga member Hazrat Ali.
They said the Taliban should reconcile or should face armed resistance from security forces or uprising youth.
Lawmaker Hazrat Ali said the purpose of this gathering was to lend support to the government, system, security forces and defend people from militants.
He stressed there is need for sacrifice and until the masses don’t offer sacrifice peace could not come.
Uprising individuals said they took arms to defend government, protect the system and fight militant’s aggression.
Ali Khan, the resident of Koz Kunar district, said he was committed to fight against the Taliban alongside security forces.
Elsewhere, around 200 people have taken arms in western Herat province to support security forces.
Governor Spokesperson Jailani Farhad said local uprising groups members have voluntarily agreed to fight the Taliban until their last drop of blood.
