18 passengers injured in Parwan blast

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Eighteen people were killed in a bomb blast in Charikar City, the capital of central Parwan province, on Sunday, an official said.

Tariq Aryan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, said the blast happened on a coaster type passenger bus in Charikar City.

The vehicle was on its way from Ghorband valley to Kabul when struck a blast in front of the Perzada Hospital at around 3:00pm.

Dr. Abdul Khalil Haidari, Civil Hospital Director, said 18 injured, including women,and children were evacuated to the hospital this evening.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
