HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): At least 20 armed Taliban militants have been killed and a car bomb defused during a clash in western Herat province, the governor said on Thursday.
Governor Abdul Saboor Qaneh told the media persons that dozens of armed Taliban from districts of the province had gathered and attacked the centre of Ghorian district late on Wednesday.
He said the Taliban wanted to detonate a car full of explosives in the centre of Ghorian district but security forces destroyed the vehicle by firing a rocket
