HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Information and Culture says the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has approved Afghanistan’s plan to include Herat City in the World Cultural Heritage List.
Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mohammad Tahir Zaheer wrote on his Facebook page that a meeting of the Technical Coordination Committee for Afghanistan’s Cultural Heritage would be held soon.
He said the ministry’s plan for the inclusion of Herat City in the World Cultural Heritage List had been approved by the organisation.
