LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): An explosives-laden vehicle was destroyed by an airstrike before reaching its target in the Nahr-i-Siraj district of southern Helmand province.
In a statement, the Afghan army’s 215 Maiwand Military Corps said that a vehicle carrying explosives was targeted from the air in 601stShahra area of the district on Saturday night.
A suicide attacker wanted to target security forces stationed in the area but Afghan Air Force hit and destroyed the vehicle.
