CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Police officials said that 10 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 15 others were wounded in a clash with government forces in the Nijrab district of central Kapisa province.
Abdul Shaykh Shurash, Kapisa police spokesman, said that the militants were killed in Espekhel and Nizam Khel areas of Afghan Najrab Valley late on Monday.
He added that the bodies of the militants killed still left on the battlefield.
A soldier was also wounded in the clash and the Taliban were eventually pushed back, he said.
Raz Mohammad, a resident of the area said he did not see any casualties, but heard from locals that the Taliban suffered losses in last night’s fight.
