JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Participants of a program on peace in eastern Nangarhar province said on Thursday the Afghan peace process remained a futile practice despite consuming millions of US dollars.
Many tribal elders, women and civil society activists from eastern provinces attended the program organized by Kabul Peace Institute in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province.
The participants said they were worried about the recent escalation of conflicts in the country and asked the warring sides to declare a ceasefire first before reaching any agreement on peace.
