KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani inaugurated an international airport in southeastern Khost province on Saturday morning.
Ghani traveled to Khost at the head of a high-level delegation this morning, the Presidential Palace in Kabul said in a statement.
After the inaugural ceremony, a Kam Air flight bringing Afghan passengers from the UAE touched down. The president welcomed the passengers after visiting different sections of the airport.
Ghani is scheduled to meet security and political officials on the current situation in the province, bordering Pakistan.
