MoPH records 1122 new Covid-19 cases, 49 deaths

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health on Friday said it registered 1122 new Covid-19 cases, 49 deaths and 717 recoveries from the infection during the last 24 hours.

A total of 3226 tests were conducted since yesterday and the virus was detected in 1122 people, pushing the overall number of infected people to 140,224.

During the period, 717 people were recovered from the pandemic, taking the total recoveries to 86963, with 49 patients losing their fight for life. The total death toll from the virus has reached 6098.
